PORCELAIN

In my opinion, porcelain is a bit of magic. Its beautiful transparency or ability to show ceramic stains in its most vibrant and clean colours is mesmerizing. I've only been working with porcelain using a hand-building technique with coils. This material severely reacts to room temperature fluctuations, and there are months when it is almost impossible to work with it as it's either too hot or too cold. The finished surface is different from stoneware clay; it's a paper-like feeling, or more like satin if vigorously sanded.
